Organic has been the latest trend for the past few years and many people have been flocking to get the latest organic product. Ranging from food to clothing, having products made from natural material seems the safest to do for the environment. Introducing Coyuchi, a 100% organic based bedding, bath linen and baby item company. Coyuchi was founded 20 years ago in Point Reyes Station, a small, rustic town on the Northern California coast. There, surrounded by ocean and forest, beach and bluff, we created a line of home textiles rooted in nature. Our signature bedding, made from 100% certified organic cotton, soon earned a loyal following among people who nurture a connection to the natural world in their lives and in their homes.

Coyuchi’s bedding is based on information according to the U.S. Department of Labor which states the average working individual sleeps approximately 7.6 hours a day. Coyuchi main goal was to study what they can do to help that average employed person with a better night sleep. Coyuchi’s press release gives the thought of what they put in for the consumer. “With all these hours dedicated to sleeping, the need for a healthy sleep is imperative, and today's consumers go to great lengths by investing in noise machines, sleeping pills, strict routines and more to get a better night's sleep.”

"Anything wrinkle-free has added polyester or is coated with chemical resin," says Karyn Barsa, CEO of Coyuchi. "Also, skip super high thread counts: The thin threads may be strengthened with-you guessed it-more chemicals. Organic cotton, by contrast, simply softens over time, and generally lasts longer."

A comfortable night sleep is usually an accomplishment that everyone seeks and it seems that organic bedding is the answer to the long lost search. Equipped with a bedding collection that uses natural colors and soft textures, bedding comes in organic cotton, a cozy wool and pure linen. The names are also based on nature, which collections such as, High Noon, Midnight Moon, Stone Hearth, Dream Cloud, Rocky Shore and Rippled Pond all using earth tones and cool hues.

Coyuchi sheets and pillowcases come in percale, sateen, jersey and flannel textures which is all made from organic cotton. Mattress pads, bed skirts and pillow protectors are also made of organic cotton and is said to lay the foundation for a good night’s sleep. Coyuchi decorative pillows have removable inserts that are plumped with fluffy, hypoallergenic fibers from the kapok tree. Nature is a part of the Coyuchi movement, there are so many natural resources out there that can benefit the health of people, and all we have to do is embrace nature.

Coyuchi has proven as a company that the comfort of the consumer is the major priority and also setting trends that take away from the over processing of products and going natural. Whether organic cotton is the key to better health and a better night sleep, Coyuchi is here to show that there is an alternative to the normal (and sometimes uncomfortable) regular bedding. “Everything we create is designed to comfort and rejuvenate–body, mind and spirit–to help you turn your home into a sanctuary.”
